Rambling around Chad: A travel thrill like no other!

Traveling can be an exciting and thrilling experience, but it doesn’t always have to be so adventurous to be fun! In fact, there are certain destinations that you might not consider exciting at first glance that can be downright thrilling in their own right. Rambling around Chad is one of those travel thrills that will give you the adventure of your life while still remaining very comfortable, especially if you go with the right tour group!

Avenue Charles De Gaulle

The Avenue Charles De Gaulle is a great place to relax and take in the serene natural beauty of Chad. Enjoyable for all ages, the Avenue is perfect for a day of leisurely strolls or an afternoon picnic. It also has bike paths so you can explore its natural beauty with your own two feet. There are three main zones that each offer their own unique experience on the avenue. Zone 1 offers a more relaxed environment where there are plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy a café along the way. Zone 2 is where you’ll find bike paths and small shops. Zone 3 is where there’s plenty of activity happening such as people exercising or practicing music. It’s always been my favorite zone because it feels alive with activity.

Zone 1 is home to shops and cafeś that are easy on your wallet. Stroll over to Les Jardins where you can dine outside under trees or on picnic tables in a more casual setting. Order from their selection of finger food and drinks, or create your own platter by choosing from their entire menu. Their patio is a popular place for groups to gather and enjoy a meal together. You’ll find plenty of families here during weekends enjoying simple meals as well as outdoor games like chess or checkers. If you’re hungry for a more gourmet experience, Le Bois Gourmand serves up sumptuous dishes and fine wines served in an intimate yet friendly setting indoors at La Source du Bois Gourmand.

Tibesti Mountains

The Tibesti Mountains are one of the most serene and beautiful places on earth. They are located in Chad and offer a wide variety of activities for visitors. You can hike, camp, climb, and even ski in the winter. The views from the top of the mountains are breathtaking and worth the effort to get there. If you’re looking for an adventure, Rambling around Chad is the perfect place for you!

With a little practice, you’ll find that climbing through these mountains is easier than it looks. While you will need proper equipment, including a set of lightweight trekking poles for balance and stability, a well-trained guide can teach you all you need to know about reaching higher elevations. The trip isn’t without its challenges, so be sure to take care of any medical needs before setting out on your journey. With proper preparation and training, Rampling around Chad can be one of your favorite experiences yet!

While it may take a little more effort to get there, Tibesti is still worth every second. You’ll find stunning views that you won’t see anywhere else in the world. If you’re looking for an adventure of a lifetime, head to Rambling around Chad as soon as possible!

What to see in N’Djamena, the capital city

The capital city of N’Djamena is located in East central Chad. It has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers beautiful architecture, unique markets, and plenty of activities for visitors. It is only about 3 hours from Bongor in western Chad which makes it easy to spend several days traveling between these two places without sacrificing too much time or money. N’Djamena was formerly called Fort-Lamy before being renamed after independence in 1960.

There are plenty of things to see in N’Djamena for a visitor, but you will want to plan ahead so that you can make use of your time efficiently. Most notable of all is Charles de Gaulle Square, which is home to several stunning examples of French Colonial architecture and is also where most governmental buildings are located. One building in particular, known as Le Palais du Peuple or The People’s Palace, contains an art gallery and museum. It has a grand interior that makes it well worth seeing if you’re ever in N’Djamena.

The closest destination to N’Djamena, Bongor is a small town that has a great location near both mountains and desert. It is quite beautiful and well worth visiting if you’re ever in eastern Chad. If you visit, be sure to take a trip up Mont Kolpé which offers spectacular views of many different landmarks as well as one of Africa’s most unique rock formations known as Les Trois Frères, which roughly translates to The Three Brothers. This is a must-see if you are traveling in East central Chad and only takes about two hours roundtrip from Bongor by car.

Lakes of Ounianga

If you’re looking for a truly unique travel destination, look no further than the Lakes of Ounianga in Chad. This group of 18 natural lakes is unlike any other place on earth, and their surreal beauty is sure to take your breath away. The lakes are located in the Sahara Desert, and range in size from just a few square meters to over four kilometers wide. Despite their remote location, the lakes are home to a variety of plant and animal life, including several species of fish. Visitors can take part in activities like swimming, boating, and even camping overnight under the stars. So if you’re looking for an adventure that’s off the beaten path, be sure to add the Lakes of Ounianga to your list!

So if you’re planning a trip to Africa, be sure to check out these unique natural marvels for yourself. Your photos will be one-of-a-kind and your stories unforgettable!
