Majestic Kiribati: Stunning Destinations to Visit

Kiribati, located in the Pacific Ocean just to the southeast of Hawaii, is a stunningly beautiful country whose rich culture and unique natural beauty make it one of the most majestic destinations in the world. If you’re planning on visiting Kiribati soon, here are some of the most striking sights you shouldn’t miss.

Kuria Village

Kuria is one of the most serene and scenic villages in Kiribati. With its extraordinary views of the lagoon, coral reefs, and nearby islands, it’s no wonder that this village is a top destination for tourists. The village is also home to some incredible historical sites, including the remains of an ancient settlement. If you’re looking for a truly incredible experience, be sure to add Kuria Village to your list of must-visit destinations.

The best time of year to visit Kuria is during its annual Island Anniversary celebration. This week-long event takes place during June and July, and is a great opportunity for locals and tourists alike to get together in peace and celebrate their homeland. The celebration includes parades, ceremonies, and even traditional sporting events like wrestling. Whether you’re already visiting or looking for a great travel destination, be sure to take part in Kuria’s Island Anniversary Celebration!

When visiting Kuria, one of its most unique draws is a series of canals and bridges that cut through and around village. There are multiple waterfalls in these canals, making them an incredible sight to see as well as a popular attraction. In fact, each year these waterways are considered one of world’s best views by travel guidebooks! If you’re planning on exploring further or watching your budget, then you’ll be happy to know that exploring some of these attractions is free while others are available for a small fee. Be sure to check beforehand so you don’t miss out on any sights!

Kiritimati (Christmas Island)

Kiritimati is the largest coral atoll in the world and one of the most extraordinary places on earth. This serene and scenic destination is perfect for those looking to get away from it all. The island is home to an abundance of birdlife, including the endangered red-footed booby, as well as stunning beaches and clear turquoise waters. Visitors can also enjoy snorkeling and diving, or simply relax in the tranquil surroundings.

If you’re looking for a quiet, authentic travel experience and a warm welcome from locals, then head for Abaiang. Few tourists visit Abaiang and so you can enjoy top-notch snorkeling and diving without many people around. Alternatively, opt for Tarawa where you can learn about island culture and get involved in many activities like sailing. There are also plenty of wildlife parks in Tarawa if you’re into birdwatching or wildlife photography. Plus there’s an unforgettable sunset that won’t disappoint! Kiribati has something special to offer every traveler – so what are you waiting for? Head on over!

Christmas Island National Park

The Christmas Island National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Kiribati. It’s a great place to see the island’s stunning natural scenery, including its white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and lush vegetation. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, turtles, and fish. Visitors can enjoy hiking, swimming, and snorkeling in the park.

The islet of Uma, located off one of Christmas Island’s most popular beaches, can be accessed by boat from Cikepau. It has a small beach area and lots of greenery, including pandanus and coconut trees. There are turtles that nest in Uma during June to October. Visitors can access offshore islands on foot using coral paths that connect them. Two of these islands—Te Kuri and Tamana—also have turtle breeding sites that are only accessible by boat or sea kayak because they’re surrounded by water. You’ll want waterproof footwear for walking along these paths, so don’t forget sandals or hiking shoes if you plan on swimming in Cikepau beach after your snorkeling session!

The underwater life is one of Christmas Island’s most famous attractions. Snorkeling tours are a great way to explore undersea creatures, including coral reefs, colorful fish, and even sharks. Most people snorkel in Cikepau because it’s close to Bikenibeu and offers an easy walk into calm waters. If you’re an experienced swimmer and enjoy a challenge, consider snorkeling at Onotoa Beach instead. This beach is also known for its soft sand and shallow waters that are perfect for children as well as adults. However, it can get quite busy so be prepared for lots of snorkelers around you!

Betio Town

As the largest town in Kiribati and home to the country’s only deep-water port, Betio Town is a bustling hub of activity. The town is located on Tarawa Atoll, which is made up of 33 coral islands. Visitors can explore the town’s many markets, learn about its WWII history at the Betio Museum, or relax on one of the beautiful beaches.

With its ideal climate and location on Tarawa Atoll, Betio is an attractive destination for visitors. There are many stunning beaches in and around Betio, including Ombai Beach. The wide strip of sand that makes up Ombai Beach stretches for nearly 3km and offers everything from family-friendly picnic areas to scenic views of coral reefs. Water activities are available here, too, so bring your snorkel gear! For something a little different than sand between your toes, head to Esnena Lagoon where you can swim or kayak in crystal clear waters as you watch sea turtles bask on nearby rocks.

Introduction to Abaiang District, Arorae and Marakei Islands

The Abaiang District is one of the three districts of the Gilbert Islands, in Kiribati. It consists of several inhabited islands including Abaiang Island, Kuria Island, Maiana Island and Nonouti Island. Arorae and Marakei are two of the most popular tourist destinations in Kiribati. Arorae is known for its beautiful beaches, while Marakei is famous for its lush vegetation and stunning coral reefs.

Majuro is another of stunning destinations of Kiribati. It’s a city on an atoll in southwestern Pacific Ocean. Apart from its bustling downtown, it also has some lovely sandy beaches and great opportunities for snorkeling and diving.
The vibrant blue lagoons make it particularly beautiful during sunset, which is a sight not to be missed while on holiday in Majuro. If you want to photograph it during sunset, then I would recommend going there in summer when there are clear skies and also low tide since that makes it easier for you to walk around and take better photos of dramatic coral reefs, as well as crystal clear blue water surrounded by bright turquoise colored reef flats.
